Fever 

 

The temperature of a normal infant is 36C-37 C. When the temperature excels the basic temperature to more than 1 C, it is considered a fever.

There are:

low fever(37.5℃-38℃),

medial fever(38.1℃-39℃),

high fever (39.1℃-41℃)

and very high fever(41℃).

 

Cause:

According to the nature of the pathogen, there are fevers of external contraction and fever of internal injury in TCM. Fever of external contraction is triggered by six excesses, such as wind-cold pathogen, wind-heat pathogen and summer-heat pathogen.

 

Syndrome Differentiation:

1 Dyspeptic fever

2 Frightened fever

3 Yin-deficiency fever
